Laguna cop arrested for armed-robbery

Kampo Heneral Paciano Rizal, Sta Cruz – Laguna – A rookie cop was arrested for robbing a gas station and involving in a series of convenience store robbery in Laguna. 

Police Acting Provincial Director Colonel Rogarth Campo identified the suspect as Police Patrolman Glen Angoluan, PNP personnel assigned in Laguna 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company. 

In a report reaching CALABARZON Regional Director Brig Gen Antonio Yarra, Angoluan was arrested in a checkpoint along the National Highway in Barangay San Isidro, Pagsanjan, Laguna. 

Pagsanjan police said, the motorcycle which the suspect was riding on, matched the description of the get away vehicle in Uni-Oil Gasoline Station robbery that transpired in Barangay Santiago, Sto. Tomas, Batangas. 

During the investigation, Angoluan admitted that he was also responsible in the series of robbery/hold-up incidents of 7/11 convenience stores in Laguna.

The suspect was turned over to Sto. Tomas Police Station for inquest proceeding of criminal cases.

The administrative charges meanwhile will be handled by Laguna PNP.

Campo said, “We will not tolerate the wrong doings in our organization, this is part of our internal cleansing program to Clean our Ranks, it is a good cop versus bad cop combat. Laguna PNP is working and remains strong, especially with the current quick response on any reported criminal act.”
