The Department of Health (DOH) Center for Health Development CaLaBaRZon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) kick-started yesterday the campaign entitled “SA BOOSTER, PINASLAKAS!” held at EMI – Yazaki, Aguinaldo Highway Anabu IIA, Imus, Cavite. 
The campaign aims to administer over 3 million COVID-19 booster shots in the CALABARZON Region for the first 100 days of the new administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.  
“Importante po ito para sa ating bayan, para sa edukasyon, para sa ekonomiya, para sa bawat pamilya. 78% ng ating senior citizen ang boosted na at malaki pa po ang ating kinakailangang bakunahan para maabot ng 90% target, ” Health Policy and Infrastructure Development Team (HPIDT) Undersecretary Lilibeth C. David said in her speech during “SA BOOSTER, PINASLAKAS! campaign launch, held at EMI-Yazaki, Aguinaldo Highway Anabu IIA, Imus, Cavite on July 26, 2022.
DOH CALABARZON Regional Director Ariel I. Valencia emphasized that “the vaccination here in the CALABARZON region will target the people inside the factories, markets and schools. This is where they are now, these three settings are our specific targets for this new campaign. This is very timely, now that face-to-face classes will be allowed and the majority of the factories are fully operational. Kapag nagawa natin ito, walang duda we will achieve our set targets.” 

The campaign also sees to impart the importance of unified strength and maintaining the country’s “Wall of Immunity” by achieving the target of 90% primary series coverage among Priority Group A2: Senior Citizens and 50% eligible population receiving at least 1 booster in settings where the people are and where they want to be: places of work, transport terminals, community centers, commercial centers, places of worship, and learning.
The shared vision of “PINASLAKAS” Campaign is by October 8, 2022, majority of boosted population may enjoy and feel more protected against severe effects and mortality from COVID-19.

DOH CALABARZON will vaccinate a total of 3,205,875 COVID-19 booster shots, 723, 453 of this are from the Cavite Province; 654, 994 are from Rizal; 616, 720 are from Batangas; 590, 524 are from Laguna; 529, 700 are from Quezon and 90, 484 are from Lucena City. With the total number of targets due for booster, DOH CALABARZON aims to inoculate 53, 431 per day as of July 22, 2022.
DOH CALABARZON reported a total of 165 new cases of COVID-19, 68 are from Rizal, 61 are from Batangas, 17 are from Laguna, 16 Cavite and 3 are from Quezon, making a total of 508, 772 cases recorded in the region as of July 25, 2022. 

As of July 25, 2022, fully vaccinated individuals in the region reached 10, 473, 312 (78%), and 11, 023, 290 (82%) got their initial dose, while 2, 693, 629 got their 1st booster shot and 203, 089 (26%) got their second dose (8%).
